We are in the process of scaling from a software startup to an industry leader in the B2B eProcurement and B2C eCommerce spaces. We are currently looking for Solution Architects to join our technical leadership team. In this role you will be the technical lead of large-scale engagements with Fortune 500 clients with ultimate responsibility for the technical design and delivery of the solution. This job requires an experienced candidate with the ability to wear multiple hats and play multiple roles on client engagements and internal software design and development. Typical roles include overall solution architecture, integration methodology and architecture, directing development resources, client relationship management and project leadership. Position Summary: The Architect is expected to lead application design, architecture and implementation of the platform. The role is expected to have experience in the design and delivery of large-scale web based applications preferably for large-scale customers. Mastery of web technology architectures and industry standard protocols are required to produce highly scalable solutions capable of performance on a global scale. The Architect must be comfortable with leading a team of other architects within business, application, data and technical architecture disciplines and must be able to clearly explain the benefits of the architectural approach. Required Skills: � � A Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) is required � � 5+ years of software engineering and architecture experience � � Comprehensive experience with Magento Enterprise Edition � � Ability to question, challenge and effectively influence solutions proposed by other technical teams � � Ability to make the development and architecture teams operate efficiently through the use of best practices, processes and tools � � Proven ability to interact effectively with people in all levels of the organization (cross-functional, on/shore technical teams and executive management) � � Experience designing and building web applications for extremely high traffic and transaction volumes � � Strong knowledge of LINUX/UNIX web infrastructure, networks, databases and security concepts � � Enterprise level IT experience with a high level understanding of various technologies (Middleware, SAP, Data warehousing, Legacy systems) � � Experience with architecture design concepts and techniques and the ability to communicate and evangelize those concepts to a broad based team � � Load testing and performance optimization � � Strong problem solving skills, ability to triage technical issues and drive resolution with cross functional teams � � Strong decision-making skills, and an understanding of where projects fit into the overall architecture strategy � � Ability to roll with changes in a dynamic work environment, shaping changes into opportunities.
