Core Development, Inc. posted on Saturday, October 4, 2014

Company: Core Development, Inc.
Location: TN, USA
Budget: $15+/hour based on experience

About this Job:

We are a US based web development company that is looking for a highly motivated expert level PHP/Magento developer. We need someone that can help plan and execute elegant solutions to complex problems. Code quality is also very important. We use Clean Code by Uncle Bob as our standard (e.g. good class structure, short functions, good naming conventions) so you will need to be familiar with the principles and practices found in that book. Candidate should also be very quick at both debugging problems (xdebug familiarity is very important) and implementing solutions to those problems. In addition, we need someone that pays special attention to detail. Finally, we are looking for an individual and not a team or a large firm of developers, so if you are not an individual, please do not apply as all teams will not be pursued. Skills: PHP expert level Magento expert level Very detail oriented Excellent ability to communicate via skype IM, and at least good ability to communicate via voice communication Xdebug experience Active use of professional IDE (PHPStorm, NetBeans, etc) Please send MAGENTO CODE SAMPLES that show your experience. We will not respond to any requests that don't include code samples as that is our primary indicator of skill level. In order to limit the amount of back and forth before having an interview, please use the following as guidelines for the code you submit: Should be related to Magento Show only work that you have developed, or at least specify which parts you developed. Show something that shows an elegant solution to a complex problem (block code that just returns a label name to a phtml file isn't helpful in assessing development ability). We're excited to work with you, and if things work out well, we will be looking to expand you into other areas. We look forward to meeting with you. Can't wait to hear from you.
