About this Job:

Camiloo Limited, a Magento Industry Partner, are seeking a talented and experienced Magento Developer to help with roll out of its global platform for retailers worldwide; ChannelUnity. Reporting to the CTO, this is not a typical Magento Development role. Our platform has been developed on the codebase of Magento, meaning there is no learning curve for a Magento Developer to climb - our system is constructed across cleverly developed Magento Modules. This has enabled us to develop ChannelUnity with all of our existing knowledge - we knew how to develop for Magento. Retailers from all around the world use our platform - from Anna's Linens in the USA - a retailer with over 300 stores in the USA - to PacaPod in the UK - an baby changing bag manufacturer with products sold in John Lewis and Mothercare. In just 4 months, our platform has handled more than £2.5m in transactions for our customers - £1m of this in the past month as our exponential growth continues. This is an opportunity to join our team of 9 at the start of a major marketing and expansion drive. As well as supporting the team in the launch of their eBay integration, the successful applicant will be able to plan, develop and launch new and innovative features for our clients worldwide including ideas of their own. The successful candidate will have strong experience working with Magento as a developer, working on custom modules and have a good working knowledge of how to create a custom Magento module. Knowledge of working with Amazon Web Services, developing for other shopping carts and front end development experience are desirable but not essential. We are based at The Sharp Project in Manchester, just 5 minutes outside of Manchester City Centre. Free secure parking is available on site, and a metrolink station is located just behind the building. Foozball, Table Tennis and Snooker tables are available in the public area, and there is a canteen just outside our office door. Please note: We do not wish to speak to recruitment agencies regarding this role, and we are not seeking to outsource this role.

To apply: To apply for this role, please send a CV and Example Code which you have developed for the Magento platform and a covering letter citing relevant work experience to hr@camiloo.co.uk.

FactoryEStores.com posted on Tuesday, December 18, 2012

Company: FactoryEStores.com
Location: Orlando, FL, USA
Time Frame: Immediate Full Time Position
Budget: $60,000+ annually with bonuses

About this Job:

Welcome from FactoryEStores.com, a network of several ecommerce sites selling everything you need at home including furniture, hot tubs, playgrounds, hardwood flooring, rugs, décor and more. We re a fun, outgoing company, living in a fast past, rapid growth, and ever changing environment. With several experienced entrepreneurial leaders at the helm, the company has seen an exceptional growth rate from zero to eight million in revenue in just under 26 months. Our office located in the heart of downtown Orlando, consists of modern furniture, dj booths, glass conference rooms, dart boards, video game machines, and even a kegerator. We believe in a work life balance of work hard, play hard that has gotten us to where we are today. Quarterly company outings help us bond together as a team as well. Our company is currently looking for a Senior Level Magento Developer who can take a leadership role in starting our official IT department. Up to this point, the majority of staff have been marketing, fulfillment, conversion, and customer service focused, leaving a gap in development. While Magento is easy to work with, and some of us are dangerous enough with PHP to build our sites out, none of us are focused on it full time, nor are we the most efficient. We feel our company is ready for the next step in starting our IT department by hiring a full time position for the role. Throughout the fast past growth we ve experienced, our Magento installation has been upgraded three times, servers have been switched twice, and themes have been upgraded as well, all while integrating over 60+ extensions. Needless to say, there have been some hick-ups along the way. Currently we are experiencing some issues that are no longer solvable by the current team we have, who know little about databases and PHP, so now is as good of time as any to bring in this Senior Level position. We are looking for a full time, Senior Level Magento Developer to work in our Orlando office who: Would enjoy our company culture Possesses the leadership skills necessary to hire Jr. Developers on their team as needed Has 3-4 years experience working with PHP5, MySQL, and deep into Magento Most importantly understands Magento s EAV database structure like the back of their hand Lives and breaths code Loves to tackle a difficult challenge (ours may be the most difficult yet.) Is resourceful and will not give up until a problem is solved Usually finds themselves teaching others because you seem to know more about Magento than they do Is amazing when working with database structures and large amounts of data Understands the server requirements of Magento and how to make Magento speed along faster than the speed of light Has a good base knowledge of SEO We are NOT looking for: Companies to outsource to or hire (this is a full time, in office position) Someone who complains Someone who gives up easily Someone who doesn t like managing people Someone who doesn t present new ideas This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor with a company that has amazing potential to grow well beyond where we are today. With eight million in just 2 years, the sky is the limit. Currently our revenue is based solely off of a few key product lines (about 1/60th of what is available to us.) This year, we are investing heavily in marketing and growing these other lines. The person we want for this position will lead the development and IT department as we grow it out over the next 12 months. There's no where to go but up for this position. Taking applications now. Interviews are starting after the holidays in the beginning of January. We re looking to have the position filled by the end of January 2013.

This job is for you if: - You love Magento - You care about development processes - You care about quality - You understand how to scale Magento and make it fast - You want to lead a team - You are a Magento certified developer - You want to work on a variety of challenging Enterprise projects - You have worked with Magento for at least 2 years - You like to expand your knowledge We are an established agency based in Wimbledon, South West London. Our main focus is e-commerce; primarily using Magento. We have a team of developers in the UK and abroad which is growing rapidly. We care strongly about development processes and practices (strict version control, test driven development, automated deployment etc) and would like to find an experienced Magento developer to help us fine-tune these for Magento. We have a range of retail clients (some very big and well known, some not so big) all with their own unique requirements. As we are so in demand, we don't take on any old projects. We also have a range of internal extensions that we have developed which we would like to start offering to the wider market. Our offices are in the heart of Wimbledon and it is a fun place to work (we have pool and table tennis tables).
