We are very busy, and have a developer that's working overtime just to keep up - we need an experienced developer that loves working with Magento and can be productive working remotely from where ever they are in the country. Is that you? WHAT YOU'LL DO: - Build and improve our Magento extensions to solve problems, and help make the end users' lives easier. - Participate in planning and executing new features or system changes. - Optimize our database environment for performance and keep the Magento platform up to date. (Yes, we use Magento EE!) - Work with our team to fix bugs quickly and correctly (ie: the Magento way). - Write new modules to replace currently used thirdparty extensions. ABOUT YOU: - You enjoy learning, are self-motivated and reliable. - Are resourceful and passionate about what you do. - Have plenty of development experience with Magento and Zend Framework...certs are nice, experience is better. - Skilled at both back-end and front-end development...back-end first. - Have created stand alone Magento modules and integrated your fair share of thirdparty extensions. - Appreciate working with others and teaching Jr. Developers, but can also dig down and produce on your own when necessary. - Experience with Linux operating systems - specifically Ubuntu. - You are really good at whatever tools you use to do the job, and know how to use GIT. - Set up integrations with APIs and web services (REST, SOAP/WSDL, JSON). - We can't NOT mention some languages, so you'll need to be well-versed in: PHP, JS, jQuery, XML/XSL, HTML/CSS, SQL, MySQL, and of course, Googling stuff you don't know. BROWNIE POINTS: - Experience with Ruby on Rails, or asp.net Storefront. - Experience with mobile app development. - Have worked with Unirgy extensions for Magento. - Open mind to learn anything you don't know to solve problems or create cool new stuff. ABOUT US: Web Intellect was started because we found ourselves developing our own solutions because nobody else could really fulfill our needs. Then our friends were impressed and wanted to use them. Now, 4 years later, we're focusing on 2 specific web-based applications to solve specific needs in the automotive ecommerce industry. One is a completely custom PIM system built on Zend Framework, and the other is, you guessed it, Magento. Most of our Magento work is on the backend, and our end users are admin users, not front-end customers. Over the next year, we are planning on: - Replacing a few of our existing thirdparty modules with our own. - Launching a new Magento storefront website. - Integrating more solutions for warehouse management and CRM functionality. - Continuing to write and improve our own modules to be specific to our industry. WHY COME WORK WITH US: In short, we are fun to work for and we take care of our team members. Everyone in the company works remotely, and we all love what we do. This is a full-time, permanent position.
