Position Overview :
Rather than a conventional business development role, this position assumes consultative approach to helping customers construct the solutions that we can build. This position will focus on developing a combination of inbound leads, and building relationships with industry partners who consistently add to our referral pipeline. Our broad array of service offerings allows us to take on custom web apps, mobile apps and e-commerce platforms.
The best fit for this position will be a polished professional who can go above and beyond to make prospects feel comfortable and confident, as purchasing custom development can be a scary process for the non-technical. This person is able to comprehend and convey technical requirements, and navigate the entire sales cycle without missing a beat.
It is a tremendous opportunity to be on the forefront of the fastest growing industry within the tech space. On top of that, our business development people do quite well when it comes to compensation. Our structure allows a person in this position to benefit from not only new sales, but ongoing commissions on the account.
Primary duties of this position:
� � Reach out to develop channel partnerships through related industries.
� � Will need to be able to generate their own leads over time, but still handle inbound inquiries.
� � Create and distribute referral program agreements as needed.
� � Coordinate with developers and project managers to accurately quote projects
� � Consistent account maintenance to foster long term working relationships
� � Presenting clients with ballpark estimates, proposals and writing contracts
� � Other typical duties related to facilitating the sales process from start to finish
� � Utilizing our CRM system consistently and accurately.
Qualifications:
� � Technical aptitude is a must. You will be conversing with people who live and breathe interactive technologies.
� � 1-5 years of sales experience
� � A genuine passion for web and mobile technologies
� � Familiarity with custom software development processes
� � Having worked for or with creative or interactive agencies is a plus
� � The discipline to consistently use a CRM system during interaction
� � The ability to collect and understand client requirements
� � Professional presentation from head to toe: this includes speech, dress, writing skills, punctuality -- everything that a successful business development person ought to be.
� � Must have agency or e-commerce experience
