We are in the process of upgrading a Magento store, and we have run into an error we can not figure out on our own. We have a copy running on a dev environment. We are currently on version 1.4.2. I don't know how many tables we would have to remove the FOREIGN KEYS on and even if we hit them all, we still don't know if the upgrade will go through. It's also putting the integrity of the database at risk by doing this which is a concern. I need a Magento ninja to come in and complete the task of getting over this error during the upgrade. That's it. Then either explain to us how you did it so we can repeat the same on the live store upgrade, or come in again when we do the live store upgrade.

Worry Free Labs is a Web and Mobile User Experience Design and Development firm. Since 2005 our purpose is to create remarkable, usable and useful experiences across devices and platforms. We� �ve designed and developed more than 600 mobile and web-based solutions for clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to startups and nonprofits. WFL is currently seeking a Lead Magento Engineer to work with our team to create custom e-commerce applications for our clients. We� �re considering both full-time and freelance candidates. The Engineer is responsible for writing custom software to extend Magento functionality to meet client requirements. Code must be written in accordance with Magento and Zend PHP best practices to ensure it is robust and as future proof as possible. Developer will be accountable for full development project life cycle from ideation to solution architecture and development and on through to testing (MTAF), launch and support. Demonstrated experience with the Magento Zend PHP Development stack is required. Magento Developer and Zend PHP certifications are preferred, but not necessary for outstanding candidates. We� �re based in NYC and would prefer someone local, but will consider outstanding candidates across the U.S. To qualify for the position, candidates must have: - 5+ years of professional Object-Oriented PHP development experience and at least 2 years in Magento development with solid customization and extension examples to review and discuss - Experience with scalability topics relating to complex, large scale and high volume Magento deployments - Experience and proficiency with Magento development staging, upgrades, catalogue imports and other time saving methodologies and practices - Firm knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS and jQuery - Experience and proficiency with Version Control (SVN or GIT) - Strong understanding of MySQL - Excellent organization and communication skills - Passion for new technology, particularly in the realm of Mobile and Tablet Commerce Preferred skills include: - Mobile, Tablet or RWD Magento deployments - System administration skills - Experience working with agile methodologies - Ability to set up development methodologies
