    About this Job:

We are in the process of upgrading a Magento store, and we have run into an error we can not figure out on our own. We have a copy running on a dev environment. We are currently on version 1.4.2. We can successfully upgrade to 1.5.1 however going from 1.4.2 or 1.5.1 to 1.6.2 or 1.7.1 we are getting this upgrade error... a:5:{i:0;s:268:\\\"Error in file: /home/devstore/public_html/fp/public_html/app/code/core/Mage/Core/sql/core_setup/mysql4-upgrade-1.5.9.9-1.6.0.0.php - SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1025 Error on rename of ./devstore_store4/#sql-dfb_219342d to ./devstore_store4/core_store (errno: 150)\\\";i:1;s:1088:\\\"#0 /home/devstore/public_html/fp/public_html/app/code/core/Mage/Core/Model/Resource/Setup.php(645): Mage::exception( Mage_Core , Error in file: ... ) It seems like the issue is with FOREIGN KEYS on the table core_store. If I remove the FOREIGN KEYS then it doesn't error on table core_store, however it will error on another table. I have removed the FOREIGN KEYS on up to 5 tables but I continue to get the error on the next table. I don't know how many tables we would have to remove the FOREIGN KEYS on and even if we hit them all, we still don't know if the upgrade will go through. It's also putting the integrity of the database at risk by doing this which is a concern. I need a Magento ninja to come in and complete the task of getting over this error during the upgrade. That's it. Then either explain to us how you did it so we can repeat the same on the live store upgrade, or come in again when we do the live store upgrade.
